Dear Summer Camp Troop Contacts,

We are sure you have this all handled but we just want to send you a friendly reminder, because Camp Billy Gibbons is in a remote area, internet is not always reliable, so you will need to bring the following items in paper form with you for check in at camp.

  1. Proof of membership in BSA for all youth and adults attending camp

  2. Copy of Youth Protection Training on all adults attending camp

  3. A copy of the Public Sex Offender Search Results for all adults attending camp.

This can be found on the http://records.txdps.state.tx.us/SexOffender/index.aspx

  4. If you are an Out of Council Troop - Proof of insurance from your Council.

The above items are a must because of State Health inspections.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at camp!

To the parents with scouts going to camp,

Your scout’s unit leader has most likely already informed you of everything that they will need to bring with them to camp, so this is just a friendly reminder. This information can be found in the “Scouts BSA Resident Adventure Guidebook” that you can download by clicking HERE.

  1. Completed “Food Allergy & Religious Dietary Information” and “Over-The-Counter-Medications Release” forms.

  2. Items from the “Suggested Equipment List” along with the items on the “What To Bring To Camp” page.

  3. Spending money for the Trading Post. There will be many cool items for sale at the Trading Post, as well as snacks and drinks. Average is between $40 and $100 for the week.

We look forward to providing your scout with an enjoyable experience that they will remember for a lifetime!
